Purpose

The Leadership Academy will develop personal, professional and AΔK leadership skills. 

Discovering strengths to enhance their leadership skills

Maximizing their emotional intelligence

Taking and completing the leadership challenge

Eligibility for Participants

Participants shall be an active educator who has been a member for ten years or less. 

Participant shall not have held an elected office beyond the S/P/N level more than once.

Eligibility for Mentors

Mentors shall have leadership experience at the S/P/N, Regional, and International level.

Mentors shall demonstrate skills and leadership qualities within those leadership experiences.

Responsibilities for Participants and Mentors

Attend ZOOM Sessions, Workshops, International Convention, and Regional Conference

Complete monthly readings, assignments, and documentation

Mentor/Participant meet monthly

Present a leadership session at Regional Conference (participant)

Provide on-going feedback and guidance (mentor)

Recognition upon Completion

Certificate of completion and Leadership pin
